Pets of the Week: Kittens Lisa and Bart, Last in the Family to Find Homes

Their pregnant mother was rescued while foraging for food under a dumpster.

Lisa and Bart are siblings, born of a mother rescued while foraging for food under a dumpster, and the 6-month-old kittens are the last of the family to find homes.

Marge, their mom, was quite pregnant when she was found, and she was sent to a foster family through shelter in Houghton. Soon after giving birth, another tiny kitten, Maggie, was rescued and given to the care of Marge, who immediately began grooming and nursing it.

By the way, the woman who took in Marge and her brood is a fan is the Simpsons show, thus the names. So now Marge and Maggie have new families, leaving Lisa and Bart still searching.

Both of them are full of kitten antics. Bart, a striking black and white tuxedo, is already a good-sized young cat, and he may get bigger. He's sociable and happy-go-lucky, always ready to play -- or eat! Lisa, a sleek, svelte and shiny black beauty, is a very happy, fun-loving and content girl.

Both love people, other pets and almost everything about life. They are a wonderful pair and very bonded, so must be adopted together. Lisa and Bart are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, current on vaccines and de-wormings, healthy and ready for a new home.
