Pets of the Week: Lonely Without Family, Fairy, Sherrie Need New Home

The 7-year-old sisters were returned to MEOW Cat shelter when their owners could no longer care for them.

Fairy and Sherrie are beautiful 7-year-old sisters who have lived together their entire lives and were returned to Kirkland’s when their owners were no longer able to care for them.

They’re content together, so must be adopted together, and are missing the life that they once had. Major life changes can have a profound effect on cats. The volunteer staff at MEOW desperately wants to see these sisters go back to a life of lounging in a safe, snuggly place to call home.

Fairy is a gray classic tabby with white accents; Sherrie is a dilute tortie with white. Both Fairy and Sherrie are sweet, quiet cats. They are a little shy at first, but always respond to a calm and quiet voice. Both are perfect ladies about using the litterbox. Within a short amount of time, they become affectionate, purring and flirting girls.

Being quiet themselves, this pair would prefer a quiet and peaceful home. They would probably do best in a home without small children, but have happily lived with an older child. Both girls weigh a little more than they should and are doing wonderfully on a healthier diet.

They’ve been checked out by a veterinarian, are healthy, vaccinated, spayed, micro-chipped and ready for a new family. If that might be you, see www.meowcatrescue.org or call 425-822-6369.
