Pets of the Week: Pretty Boys LeRoi and Sanders Are Lifelong Best Buds

The two 7-year-olds are inseparable and need a new family, because the woman who had adopted them was recently diagnosed with Parkinson's disease.

LeRoi and Sanders are two fluffy 7-year-old orange boys who have been together their entire lives and are best friends, now taking up residence at in Houghton.

They are very bonded, inseparable and would be lost without one another, so they must be adopted as a pair. Sadly, they were returned to MEOW Cat Rescue because the woman who had adopted them was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease and knows she won't be able to care for them down the road.

LeRoi is the more dominant, adventurous, energetic and independent. He occasionally wants some lap time and affection. Sanders is more gentle and submissive  and is quite content following LeRoi around and looking to him for guidance and reassurance. Both of these beautiful boys have lived with adults and older children and with a large, mellow, very cat-savvy dog.

Both are neutered, current on vaccines, micro-chipped and healthy. And if you think you might have a new home for the boys, it's a great time to adopt them. All cat adoption fees have been reduced to $15 for the month of January to celebrate the 15th year of MEOW Cat Rescue, a no-kill shelter that has saved hundreds of cats.
