What you need to know.

Health Care Reform is going to impact your choices for 2014. Here is what you can expect:

     * Coverage is guaranteed, for everyone, no on can be turned down for health issues or pre-existing conditions

     * Everyone is required to have insurance or pay a penalty (limited exceptions)

     * Insurance plans will all have to include "essential benefits" such as maternity, full Rx coverage, pediatric dental and vision, habillitative care, etc.

*Every plan, inside and outside the exchange will be changing.

*There will be subsidized premiums for lower income individuals and families.

*If you have coverage through an employer, you will not have to pay a financial penalty(it qualifies as being covered)

*If you have coverage through an employer, you can buy coverage through the new Exchange but you will not be eligible for a subsidy.

     * If you don't  have "affordable coverage" through your employer (pay more than 9.5% of your income for health insurance), you can qualify for a subsidy for health insurance (depending on your family income level)
