Eastside Community Aid is a nonprofit thrift store that sells donated items to raise money for more than 20 different local organizations such as Eastside Domestic Violence, King County Search & Rescue and the Kirkland Interfaith Network. Products include figurines and gifts, small appliances and other household goods and clothing for men, women and children. The organization was established in the 1980s when a group of Eastside women began holding garage sales to raise money for charity. The ECA's first thrift store was opened in downtown Redmond. The current location in the Totem Lake area is run entirely by volunteers.
