If you don't like participating in this insanity and don't want to help contribute to the…Read More destruction of our atmosphere, is there an alternative? I am not talking about generating my own power and getting "off the grid." I would just like to my power from someone else. I do not wish to continue to be a PSE customer and would even pay more to get my electricity from someone else - like Seattle City Light. Perhaps the greatest thing we could do is get rid of the utility monopolies. Of course, this would play right into PSE's advantage. They would very much like to drop servicing the local grid and just become a distributor, owning only the high voltage power lines, right-of-ways, and electrical switch yards.

"local waterways pick up minerals that leach from the naturally occurring coal seams. According…Read More to PSE, miles away from the Colstrip generating facility, far from its holding ponds, groundwater has been adversely impacted by the coal."
Why are we complaining about sending all the coal to China? We are removing all that natural pollution from America!
All jokes aside, isn't the naturally occurring coal pollution just the way Mother Nature intended? Is it really "pollution" if it is natural?
As far as getting PSE to abandon coal, good luck with that. The Australian conglomerate that owns PSE doesn't give a hoot about pollution in America. They have a HUGE debt service to pay off, and the ratepayers and downwinders will pay a huge price for their acquisition. Thank you, Washington State Utilities Commission for making this debt possible.

My service is $20.00 an hour and that includes everything planting, weeding, pruning, and mowing.…Read More She comes twice a month and on average it runs $150.00 a month. I expect it to go down as most of the planting is done now.

How is this going to work?
I live on a dead end residential street. The speed limit is 25mph, which…Read More is a bit fast. Cars scream up and down the hill at 35mph+ (especially that guy in the white Ford pickup!)
How will reposting the speed limit to 20mph or lower help? If the cars are already screaming by at much higher speeds, a new sign won't mean squat.
The only thing I see that works is speed bumps - and most neighborhoods would not like them. Nor do bicycle riders.

I agree with you James Banks, driving drunk is not a good thing and should be penalized, but the DUI…Read More laws are mostly a political witch hunt, private companies are also making millions on it off of classes people are forced to attend,AA meetings, because someone stopped for a beer, does not make them an alcoholic, also if people are suspected, but not convicted of a DUI they should have their driving privileges reinstated immediately at no cost to them, instead of still loosing their driving privileges for 2 years, at which the insurance companies make a killing off of SR22's, I have had many times someone talking on a cell phone has almost killed me though, its supposed to be against the law now, but it is not enforced at all.

BAC limits (the point at which you are too impaired to safely drive) should be a medical decision,…Read More not a political one.

Sounds revenue driven if you ask me, can't see any other benefit.

Am I missing something or did the EIS consultant company (where one of the principals is Eric…Read More Shield's former boss) leave the images of trees to soften the true impact of this big box. The developer's plans state that he'll be removing the trees.
No sense having the shoreline and near shoreline mature trees protected as required. Replace with tiny little street trees. Wonder where the neighborhood bald eagle will go.
