Jayme Yahr’s love of art began as a youngster in sunny San Diego, Calif., where she was lucky enough to experience the sights and sounds of Balboa Park, including its museums, murals, and architecture. After receiving art history degrees from the University of California, Irvine and the University of California, Davis, Jayme jumped up the West Coast to complete her Ph.D. in Art History at the University of Washington. After working in numerous museums, including Seattle’s Frye Art Museum, Jayme is now the Exhibitions Director of the Kirkland Arts Center and is happy to call Kirkland her second home. Apart from the art world, Jayme is an avid sports fan and novel reader, in addition to having a weakness for tv cooking shows. Likewise, she enjoys traveling and counts one of her fondest memories as seeing Caravaggio’s paintings in Malta.
