Kangs Whip Puyallup 14-5 to Earn Third Lacrosse Win

SUMNER – Cody and Jake Bernstein combined for seven goals to lead Lake Washington High School to a 14-5 victory over Puyallup Wednesday at Sumner High, the Kangs' third win of the season.

Lake Washington and Puyallup left the first knotted at three goals apiece before the Kangs broke loose with four second quarter goals to take a 7-3 advantage into the intermission.  In the third, the Kangs added another four goals and sealed the win with three fourth quarter goals.

Jonathan Friedl had 10 saves in goal to keep Lake Washington alive.  Dean Morris had three goals and Robert Abbott had a goal and 12 ground balls for Puyallup.

Lake Washington (3-4-0) faces Eastlake (4-3-0) Friday at 8 p.m., at home. Puyallup (0-6-0) next faces Lakeside (1-8-0) Saturday at Sumner High School.
