So You're 18 Years Old in the Summer of 2012!

Turning 18 in Kirkland!!

Fives weeks ago, we were celebrating my sons graduation from high school.  He was and is awesome. I was thinking though about his new choices/opportunities being 18 years old in KIRKLAND!

The first one that springs to mind is get a TATTOO!! Some ideas for that activity are: , Change Point, and Kirkland Piercing and Tattoo! Take your time and keep it simple!

YOU can VOTE!! Oh my, with the elections so darn soon, check out the Voters Pamphlet and READ carefully! I mostly listened to my parents... well I think that is a good idea!! Heee heee

Improv Comedy nights are yours to be had! Have fun but I bet you have to leave at 10ish.  in Kirkland is a hoot, and they will let you in if you are a card carrying 18 year old!

I think that getting a lovely job is in your future, that is if your aren't whisked off to a school abroad... Then most likely you will need bucks... try out at the local grocery store... or the Mall (GOD FORBID). I love the idea of , or the local restaurants or a barista.  Put your head down and work work work, it will pay off and you won't regret it!

Now on to signing a contract... sheeesh, like a car, yikes, or a credit card/debit card... Be CAREFUL! This can lead to a giant JC Penny card hell or Nordstroms. I love both companies, but man oh man can life get crazy with INTEREST!

My last thought was to buy smokes... think hard about that, it's a hard habit to break, but it is a choice you have now 18-year-olds.

You are all Awesome, you made it, a bunch of huge choices ahead of you! You will make the right decision for you! Keep us posted on your Awesomeness!

In our little hamlet, when you need a break I have a couple of ideas. The bench in front of the is a darling place to breathe in and out and take in this great Northwest weather.

There is the statue by the Kirkland with the mommy and a child, so sweet and then catch a movie.

baseball field is a bit of Americana. I am not kidding, it is baseball in the purest sense... those kids are too darling to watch with out tearing up. Grab a hamburger and sit and watch. You will not regret it!

Now go out and do what you love! We can't wait to see what you do!
