United States Professional Tennis Association names one of Kirkland's Finest as Pro of the Year
The United States Professional Tennis Association has named Lisa Moldrem of Central Park Tennis Club, the 2012 Tennis Professional of the Year for the Pacific Northwest Region. The geographic region consists of Alaska, Washington, Oregon and the northern half of Idaho.
The USPTA PNW Professional of the Year Award recognizes a member who, over a career, has demonstrated exemplary achievement in many areas, including but not limited to: contributions to the USPTA both divisional and/or national; accomplishments as a teaching professional; results as a player or a coach; continuing education; contributions to publications and other organizations; industry service; and other achievements.

Lisa Moldrem was the Women’s Head Tennis Coach for the University of Washington from 1983-1997 where she guided the Huskies to 8 consecutive Pac -10 North Championships (1987-1994) and was named Pac-10 North Coach of the Year 6 times. From 1997 until now, she has worked as one of the lead Coaches at Central Park Tennis Club in Kirkland, Washington. It is there where she helps people of all ages and backgrounds develop their passion and talents for the game of tennis.
