A daughter of the Bothell couple killed by a falling tree en route to Chelan has given an interview about how the family is doing little more than a month later.

Jessica Owen, 27, talked with reporters at KING 5 news, and said the Dec. 21 incident that killed her parents, injured herself, her sister and brother-in-law, "has certainly been a tragedy that has been really hard to wrap my heart around."

. Jeremy Mathias Owen, 22, was able to walk away from the incident with minor injuries, while Jamie Owen Mayor, 24; Steven T. Mayor, 24; and Jessica Owen, have been hospitalized ever since recovering from serious injuries.

The three are making strides, if at times slowly, toward recovery. An update on their conditions can be found on the lovetheowens blog.

A Thursday post on the blog said family members thought Jessica rocked her TV interview:

We are so incredibly proud of the strength and poise that Jessie was able to share with the world last night.

They also asked that anyone who might have witnessed the accident, or have information pertaining to the accident to please contact their family representative, Karen Koehler. You can email her at karenk@stritmatter.com.

There is also a page on the blog that talks about how you can help the family during this time.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
