Historical Signs, New Park on May 7 Juanita Meeting Agenda

City staff will update participants at the Juanita Neighborhood Association meeting about a proposed new park on NE 132nd near Fire Station 27.

 

Grants for historical signs at and improvements to will be on the agenda at the Juanita Neighborhood Association's May 7 meeting, and members are inviting the community to attend.

The meeting is at , 9635 NE 132nd Street in Kirkland. Come at 6:45 p.m. for refreshments and an opportunity to meet your neighbors, with the meeting starting at 7.

The agenda will include updates on several grant-funded projects, including the signs and park improvements, along with citizen emergency training and the first Juanita neighborhood picnic.

Attendees will also get an update from City of Kirkland staff about a proposed new park off NE 132nd Street across from Fire Station 27, a potential city park levy and bond measures and the reopening of the Juanita Friday Market.

Board members will present proposed by-law amendments for a vote. Attendees also will be asked to participate in nominations and election of new association officers. Several positions are vacant and the association needs volunteers for many projects.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
