Kirkland Volunteers Fair April 6, Hosted by Senior Council

The Viva Volunteers Fair will include cooking and dance demonstrations and programs on preventing fraud and ID theft, plus exhibits by more than 24 local non-profit groups offering service opportunities.

 

More than 24 organizations offering opportunities will be on hand on Saturday, April  6, for a Volunteers Fair sponsored by the Kirkland Senior Council that will include presentations on topics such as healthy cooking, exercise dance and preventing fraud and ID theft.

The  Viva Volunteers Fair is April 6, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Peter Kirk Community Center in downtown Kirkland.


Mayor Joan McBride will kick off the event, which will be hosted by John Curley of KIRO Radio and Christie Johnson of KING TV. The event will include demonstrations, exhibits, door prizes and light refreshments.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
