• Why Go: Join the Washington Wind Symphony this Sunday at the KPC as they present traditional favorites from the iconic composers of wind ensemble repertoire, such as Vaughn Williams, Brahms, Holst and Grainger. These familiar favorites are sure to satisfy the wind band lover in you.

• Where/When: 8 p.m. on Friday, 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. on Saturday at in Kirkland.
• Why Go: Looking for some laughs this weekend? Check out Brian Scolaro’s stand up show at Laughs in Kirkland this Friday and Saturday night. Brian is absolutely hilarious! Check out this Youtube clip of him in action so you’ll know what you’re in for.

• Why Go: Join the Northlake Unitarian Universalist Church and the Early Music Guild this Friday for another installment of their Early Music series. This month enjoy the music from the critically acclaimed, Seattle-based Tudor Choir, directed by Doug Fullington. The concert celebrates the season with IN DULCI JUBILO: A Renaissance Christmas - a holiday concert of festive carols and motets from around Western Europe.

• Why Go: It's opening weekend for SecondStory Repertoy’s newest production in their Theater for Young Audiences Series, Rumpelstiltskin. Enjoy the show!
• Cost: $10 all ages.

• Where/When: 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 7 at the in Redmond.
• Why Go: Join the Church of The Holy Cross this Saturday for their Green Elephant Plant Swap. Bring your treasure troves of seeds, pots and labels to winter-sow perennials, trees and shrubs. These pots of seeds then go outside for cold treatment which breaks the seeds’ dormancy. Come spring they germinate in profusion. For this event, potting soil is provided. Bring your pots, seeds, labels to share. This year we will propagate hardwood cuttings of various native and ornamental shrubs. You can also divide and re-pot houseplants at this event.

• Where/When: 9 a.m. - 12 p.m. on the first Saturday of the month at .
• Why Go: Join the Eastside Audubon this Saturday morning as they restore the native habitat at the Audubon BirdLoop at Marymoor Park interpretive area. Bring clippers and gloves, and dress for the weather. Also bring snacks and water. Park in Parking Lot G. Free parking passes are provided.

• Where/When: 8 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 6 at in Redmond.
• Why Go: Come out to the Old Firehouse in Redmond this Friday for a night of exciting local music.Bands include: Gemini Rain, How to Operate Your Brain, Poorsport, and Maddy Hebard.
• Pricing: $7 at the door. The first 50 people at the door have a chance at getting a free show pass to any upcoming OFH show! Say "swamp thing" at the door and get in for only $5!
