Microsoft Leaving Hotmail Brand Behind

On Tuesday, the company rolled out Outlook.com as its new email service.

So long Hotmail, hello Outlook.com.

After 15 years under ownership, the world's largest email service will be revamped into Outlook.com, GeekWire reports. The change, according to the local tech industry blog, is intended to streamline Microsoft's branding and combat Google's rising share of the email market.

GeekWire reports Hotmail users will be able to keep their @hotmail.com address if they so choose. (Click here to read the entire GeekWire post, and check out the attached YouTube video for a run-down of Outlook.com from Microsoft).

What do you think? Will you miss Hotmail, or has it long been time for Microsoft to move on?

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
