VIEWFINDER: Bassetti's Crooked Arbor Gardens
Visitors can wander through multiple gardens with different themes at the three-acre business in the Cottage Lake area.
Visitors to Bassetti’s Crooked Arbor Gardens in the Cottage Lake area of Woodinville can wander three acres, strolling on paths winding through multiple gardens with beautifully kept plants and sculptures.
Once a cattle ranch with more than 100 acres, the property now includes a formal Japanese garden, Italian garden, perennial garden, woodland garden and a formal herb and vegetable garden with espaliered fruit trees.
Owner Leanette Bassetti recently gave Patch a private tour of the space.

Her father bought the property in the late 1950s and farmed the land before Bassetti took over in the 1980s and, along with her husband, Bill Berleman, used her green thumb to transform it into the lush welcoming space that it is today.
They are also avid art lovers and have used the complementary form of sculpture throughout the gardens to showcase many artists, including Sandra Richardson and Harriet Sanderson.

Bassetti's Crooked Arbor Gardens is open to the public on Fridays and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., April 1 through the end of September, and also hosts classes. Upcoming classes include "Drawing into Painting in the Garden" on July 10 and "Cement Leaves for the Garden" on July 23.
