The Robots are Coming! Robotics Open House at Woodinville Library on Friday

Robotics Open House hosted by Swerve Robotics is for all ages.

Come to a Youth Robotics Open House at the Woodinville Library on Friday April 12, 1 pm - 3 pm, and help us celebrate National Robotics Week! Meet students from local robotics teams and talk to robot enthusiasts and professionals and see robots on display and in action. Learn about the various robotics programs available to youth K-12 – FIRST (www.usfirst.org), VEX, and more. Also learn about upcoming robotics competitions – the MATE International Underwater ROV Competition (http://www.marinetech.org/rov-competition/), the ISEC Space Elevator Robotics Competition (http://www.isec.org/sec/index.php/family-science-fest) and others.

The purpose of National Robotics Week is to:

  • Celebrate the US as a leader in robotics technology development
  • Educate the public about how robotics technology impacts society, both now and in the future
  • Advocate for increased funding for robotics technology research and development and
  • Inspire students of all ages to pursuer careers in robotics and other Science, Technology, Engineering and Math-related fields. STEM!
