Fork Dork: Your Local Market Prepares to Open in Bellevue

The natural and organic store will open on Bellevue Way in mid-November

Your Local Market, a natural and organic products market, plans to open in mid-November just as the Bellevue Farmers Market closes for the 2011 season.

Set to open in the former Safeway space on 410 Bellevue Way NE south of the , Your Local Market boasts of an inventory that will be up to 80 percent natural and organic goods. The store will also sell mainstream items.

"We spent the past 15 years creating customer driven natural product retail businesses on and off line and saw a great opportunity to bring everything we’ve learned about what customers want in a grocery store to our home town,” said Your Local Market founder and CEO Jason Brown, a Redmond resident.

“Simply put we provide all of what you would expect in local, organic and natural products as if you were shopping within Whole Foods or our local PCC, but you can purchase Coke, Clorox, Charmin or Bayer Aspirin all under the same roof,” he said.

Your Local Market will offer a deli and bakery with specialty meats, wine, cheeses, specialty breads and entrees. Your Local Market will also serve pet food. Shoppers can go on the website and get their shopping done online for local delivery or curbside pickup.

Seeing Red El Gaucho

will be hosting An Evening of Red in collaboration with on Thursday, Sept. 15.

The evening’s menu will be prepared by Chateau Ste. Michelle Estates culinary director John Sarich. The menu will be paired with wines from Chateau Ste. Michelle.

For $85 guests can enjoy Maine lobster stuffed tenderloin filet, beef tartare, Provencal top sirloin salad, New York strip and dessert. For reservations call 425-455-2715.
