Denny Creek Neighborhood Alliance

There are two important meetings this month on a proposal for DCNA to be the Finn Hill neighborhood association that is officially recognized by the City of Kirkland.

Informational session - Thursday, November 10, from 7pm to 8:30pm in the new Finn Hill Jr. High commons/cafeteria at 84th and 132nd: DCNA members are invited to learn what changes are being proposed to the organization’s mission statement, name, bylaws, and governance structure.  We’ll give you a history of what’s been discussed and what DCNA bylaws amendments are being recommended. This will be your opportunity to ask questions about the changes and to debate the pros and cons of plans to make DCNA a neighborhood association for all of Finn Hill. This is an informational meeting. No formal action will be taken on the 10th.

Members’ vote - Wednesday, November 30, from 7pm to 9pm in the Finn Hill Jr. High commons/cafeteria: DCNA members “in good standing” will be asked to vote on proposed bylaw amendments. If the bylaw changes are approved, the organization’s members – which will then include all Finn Hill residents – will immediately vote to add 5 new directors to the organization’s board.

We’ll email a background memo and a copy of the proposed bylaws on Monday or Tuesday. The same material will also be posted on our website: www.dennycreek.org.

Please make every effort to attend on the 10th and the 30th. We look forward to seeing you there!
