Party Time! Classic Rockers Playing Celebrate Kirkland Benefit

The classic rock band Wickerman will play April 20 at the Eagles Hall to raise money for Kirkland's Fourth of July festivities.

The classic rock band Wickerman, with Kirkland’s Jim O’Farrell on the keyboards, will rattle the rafters of the Hall on Friday night, April 20 in a benefit dance to raise money for Celebrate Kirkland.

A $5 donation will get you in, with all proceeds going to Kirkland’s fireworks, parades and other Fourth of July festivities, presented annually by Celebrate Kirkland, a non-profit civic group (see for a photo gallery of last year's activities).

A resident of the Market Neighborhood, O’Farrell says the band, which is donating its time to the effort, plays rootsy, danceable rock from the ‘60s and ‘70s, covering mega-bands like Cream, the Rolling Stones, Traffic, Van Morrison and Jimi Hendrix.

O’Farrell says the house will be rockin’ and is already 70 percent full, so it’s important to RSVP: jamesofarrell@hotmail.com; 435-941-7175. The Eagles Hall is at 258 Central Way downtown, and the fun will start at 7 p.m. and end at 10.
