Susie Q - MEOW Cat Rescue's 'Leader of the Band'

Susie Q is just as pretty as a picture.  She is a three year old domestic medium hair brown tabby with white.  She looks like a petite Maine Coon, but…we don’t know what her lineage is.  We just know that she is beautiful inside and out.

Susie Q was returned to MEOW in August because she was experiencing weight loss and seemed to have an underlying issue of unknown origin irritating her tummy.  An ultrasound revealed that she has a condition called IBD (Inflammatory Bowel Disease).  She is now on a prescription hypoallergenic diet, which seems to be controlling her symptoms.  The food coupled with medicine seems to be getting Susie Q back on the right track.  She tells us she’s feeling frisky with her chirping, purring and snuggling.  Although it is rarely possible to cure IBD, in most cases it can be satisfactorily controlled.  This seems to be the case with Susie Q.

Susie Q’s previous owners affectionately describe her as a vocal, adventurous lap cat who loves to play.  Her favorite toy is the laser pointer.  She has never lived with children or dogs, so she may do best in a home without either.

Susie Q’s 'feline-ality' is that of 'Leader of the Band':  I'm a cat who does everything in a big way.  I not only like to be in the middle of things - I like to lead the parade.  I'm an adventurous cat, but I'll still make plenty of time to show you my affectionate side. I'm the demonstrative type, you might say. Want a cat that's brimming with confidence? That's me!"
