Driver Pleads Guilty in Kirkland Cyclist Bradley Nakatani's Death
Nathan Godwin, 28, faces 15-20 months in prison after pleading guilty Wednesday to charges of vehicular homicide and reckless endangerment, KOMO reports.

The Redmond man accused of killing a Kirkland cyclist in 2011 while driving under the influence of alcohol, marijuana and prescription drugs pleaded guilty Wednesday to charges of vehicular homicide and reckless endangerment.
KOMO reports that Nathan J. Godwin, 28, faces 15-20 months in prison, plus a year and a half of community custody. Sentencing has been scheduled for Sept. 6 at King County Superior Court.
Kirkland software engineer Bradley Nakatani, 36, died after being struck by Godwin's SUV in Totem Lake on Dec. 8, 2011. Godwin's blood alcohol level measured .078 about an hour after the crash, according to court documents.
Godwin previously pleaded not guilty to the charges. His trial date was delayed multiple times and was most recently continued from June 3 to Sept. 9, 2013. He would have faced between three and four years in prison if found guilty in trial.
