Kirkland Police Reports: March 18-22

Cops deal with bar disturbance, stolen computer, domestic situations, shoplifting and couple having sex in public.

The following are selected reports from the Kirkland Police Department for the period from March 18 to 22.

March 18

  • Police were called to a bar on Lake Street downtown about a disturbance, but determined that no crime occurred when a 49-year-old Kirkland man had attempted to remove his intoxicated 32-year-old girlfriend from the establishment.
  • An HP laptop computer was returned to a business on Northeast 124th Street in the Totem Lake area after a 56-year-old Kenmore man there reported it had been stolen by a short, thin woman with dirty blond hair who had been left alone in an office. The laptop was returned after police attempted to call the suspect by phone.
  • A 42-year-old man allegedly kicked in the front door of a 34-year-old ex-girlfriend's residence on 125th Avenue Northeast in Rose Hill when he arrived at a pre-arranged time to pick up his belongings. The woman discovered the damage when she returned. None of her belongings were missing.
  • Police arrested two intoxicated juveniles, ages 17 and 19, for being minors in possession of alcohol after an anonymous caller reported seeing the two having sex in public, somewhere in the Parkplace area downtown.

March 21

  • A 38-year-old male resident on 7th Avenue in the Norkirk neighborhood reported a burglary or simply vandalism, with a garage window damaged.
  • A 58-year-old man from Bellevue was arrested for third-degree theft after being caught by security staff at the Rose Hill Costco store for allegedly leaving with two ink cartridges he had taken from a display case.Β 

March 22

  • A 16-year-old female was arrested for being a minor in possession of liquor at a residence on 81st Circle on South Rose HillΒ  after her 45-year-old mother reported her as a missing person. She tested for blood alcohol level at 0.165 and provided information about where she got the alcohol, which was passed on to Redmond police.
  • After a verbal domestic situation was reported on Kirkland Avenue in downtown Kirkland, a 23-year-old woman from Auburn was arrested on an outstanding misdemeanor warrant from Bellevue for failing to appear on a charge of driving with a suspended license.
