Moses Kelly Sentenced to 22 Years for Kirkland, Bellingham Rapes

Kelly was charged last year with the rape of an 80-year-old Kirkland woman.

On October 11, 2013 King County Superior Court Judge Mariane Spearman sentenced Moses Kelly, 26, to 22 years in prison for two counts of rape in the first degree that Moses committed in the cities of Kirkland and Bellingham in 2012.

Kelly was identified by the thorough work at the Washington State Patrol Crime Lab.  DNA taken from both crime scenes was positively matched to Kelly’s DNA.

A $1 million warrant was issued for Kelly and he was taken into custody with the assistance of the Redmond Police Department on December 26, 2012.  Kelly has remained in custody since that time.

Kelly was charged with the October 25, 2012 rape of an 80-year-old female that occurred in Kirkland’s Juanita neighborhood.
