Police: Bothell Woman Found Dead Tuesday a Victim of Homicide

Police went to the woman's house Tuesday morning when her employer called to say she had not arrived for work. Police say her two children were not harmed and are safe.

A Bothell woman found dead in her home on Tuesday was killed by homicidal violence, police said Wednesday.

Bothell police called the death suspicious on Monday, when the woman, so far not identified, was found inside her home in the 200 block of 240th Street Southwest. That's just southeast of the Canyon Park area in south Snohomish County.

But they have not released any information on suspects, said Bothell Police Department Sgt. Cedric Collins. "We have some leads, but I have no information about suspects at this time," he said.

KIRO 7 News reported that neighbors said the woman had lived in the home with her husband and two children, but had recently been divorced. KIRO also reported that neighbors said police had told them the children were safe. See the KIRO story by clicking here.

Collins said the children are safe. "She was the only victim. No one else was harmed."

Police went to the woman’s house at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday when her employer called to say she had not shown up for work.
