City Parks Building on Market Street to be Closed Wednesday Afternoon

The city of Kirkland building at 505 Market Street will be closed from 1-5 p.m. May 8 due to a planned power outage as PSE replaces a power line.

KIRKLAND, Wash. – On May 8, 2013, Puget Sound Energy’s contractor, Potelco, will be replacing the line that supplies power to the building owned by the City of Kirkland located at 505 Market Street. This will result in a planned power outage for the building from 1 to 5 p.m.

The Human Resources Department and Parks Administration offices are housed in the building and staff will temporarily relocate during the replacement work.

Customers seeking to register for recreation programs and classes can do so online at www.kirklandparks.net or in-person at the North Kirkland Community Center, 12421 103rd Avenue NE; the Peter Kirk Community Center, 352 Kirkland Avenue, or Parks Maintenance Center, 1129 8th Street. 

Customers needing boat launch access cards may obtain them from the City Harbormaster who will be at the Marina Park dock.  Customers can reach the Human Resources Department at 425-587-3210 and the Parks & Community Services Department (Administration) at 425-587-3300. No other buildings on Market Street are affected by this planned outage.
