Kirkland Doubling Street Resurfacing in 2013, Credits Prop. 1 Approval

A contractor will work on resurfacing projects from south to north, starting on 108th Avenue NE. The city credits voter approval of the Proposition 1 street levy last November for doubling the amount of work.

The linear feet of streets to be resurfaced this year in Kirkland will be about twice that of last year thanks to approval last November of the Propositions 1 Street Levy, according to the city’s Public Works Department.

A contractor working for the city will start at the south end of Kirkland and works its north, with the first project underway, 108th Avenue NE  from NE 53rd Street to NE 68th Street.
