Traffic Alert: Expect Delays for Turkey Trot Downtown on Sunday
Hopelink's annual Turkey Trout 5K Run/Walk is on Sunday and traffic on several Kirkland streets will be affected.

KIRKLAND, Wash. – Commuters should expect traffic delays due to the Annual Turkey Trot 5K run and walk event to be held on Sunday, November 18, 2012. The following roads will be affected:
- Southbound lane of Lake Street South from Kirkland Way to 5th Avenue South will close at 11:00 a.m. for approximately 20 minutes
- Eastbound and Westbound lanes of Kirkland Avenue from Lakeshore Plaza Drive to Lake Street South will be closed from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Commuters should watch for increased pedestrian traffic on the following roads from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.:

- Lake Street South from Kirkland Avenue to Lake Washington Boulevard
- Lake Washington Boulevard from Lake Street South to Lakeview Drive
- Kirkland Avenue from Lake Street South to Lakeshore Plaza Drive
