Kirkland Sustainability Education Series

Are you interested in learning more about the local food movement and making greener consumer choices? Have you ever wanted to tour a recycling center to see what happens to your recyclables? Are you looking to conserve water and use energy more efficiently in your home? If you answered “Yes” to any of these questions, the Kirkland Sustainability Education Series is for you. This four-part series will expand what you and your fellow Kirkland residents already know about sustainability through a variety of classes, tours and hands-on workshops. Each
of the classes begins at 6:30 and ends at 8 p.m. on the following dates:

  •  September 12: Food for Thought: Making Informed Choices on Eating and Composting Sustainably
  • September 18: The What and Where of Recycling
  • September 26: Rainwater Harvesting for Your Yard
  • October 3: Creating an Energy Efficient Home
