Lake Washington Drops Eastlake to Even Lacrosse Record
Scoring machine Cody Bernstein tallies a season-high five goals in 9-6 victory.
Cody Bernstein scored a season-high five goals to lead Lake Washington High School to a 9-6 boys lacrosse win over Eastlake Friday at the Kirkland campus.
The win evened the Kang’s record at 4-4-0.
In the first, Lake Washington took a 1-0 lead before matching Eastlake 3-for-3 in the second to take a 4-3 advantage into the half. In the third, the Kangs inched ahead to take a 7-5 lead into the final stanza. In the fourth, Lake Washington added a pair to seal the win.

Jake Bernstein had three goals and Jonah Friedl had 11 saves for the Kangs. Eastlake’s Zach Shute had 3 goals and Avery Harkins had 12 saves in the nets.
Lake Washington next faces Seattle Prep (3-4-0) on Tuesday in an 8 p.m. start at Lake Washington High School in Kirkland. Eastlake (3-4-1) next faces Division II Three Rivers (6-3-0) from the Tri Cities, Saturday, April 9 in a 1 p.m. start at Lake Washington.
