Pace Race

One in six men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime, and there are more cases of prostate cancer than any other major cancer on a yearly basis. Because of these staggering statistics, the SET the PACE was launched in 2002 as a method for the Prostate Cancer Education Council (PCEC) to increase national awareness of prostate cancer.

Set the Pace Race in Kirkland supports the Prostate Conditions Education Council's mission to save lives through awareness and education of men and women. Participation by the medical community is a key factor in advancing information about the prevalence of prostate cancer, the importance of early detection and available treatment options.

The 7th PACE Race presented by Dendreon expects 1,000 runners, walkers, survivors, patients and caregivers to set out on the streets of Kirkland to support this effort. Partners in the community are formulating strategies, planning events and spreading the word about this important issue. Join us!
