Art and Culture Award: Call for Nominations

Nominations are now being accepted for businesses and people who help promote arts and culture in Kirkland.

Kirkland’s Cultural Arts Commission is accepting nominations for its annual CACHET Award. CACHET is an acronym that stands for “Collaboration, Arts, Culture, Heritage, Education and Theater.” And its Award is presented to a business, organization, or an individual who helps to foster a vibrant Arts, Culture, or Heritage community in Kirkland.

All nominations are due by February 1, 2013 and the presentation ceremony will be held on Monday, March 11, 2013 from 5:30 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. at the Kirkland Performance Center.

To nominate a person or a business, complete the nomination form that can be downloaded online at the following address: http://www.kirklandwa.gov/depart/Boards_and_Commissions/Cultural_Arts_Commission.htm

Kirkland is a distinguished arts destination thanks to the efforts to promote art, culture and heritage by local galleries, performing arts, and a genuine appreciation for art. The Kirkland Cultural Arts Commission thanks all those who continue to make Kirkland such an artistically vibrant place to live and to visit.

Hopelink's actions mandating Section 8 housing went too far. Sorry, you are off our list ofRead More organizations to support even though the support before was robust. City council listened to organized carpetbaggers and not the citizens they are sworn to represent. All that can be replaced need to go at the next election Hopelink needs to find folks to contribute who have not been done wrong by this organization.
