Pet of the Week: Found Homeless in Seattle, Margo Needs a Family

Margo gave birth to a litter of kittens -- all of them now adopted -- and needs a home of her own.

Margo is a joyful 2-year-old cat who who needs a home, found as a stray living near Pike Place Market in Seattle and now in residence at Kirkland's shelter.

She was scooped up off the streets and later gave birth to a litter of kittens.  She was a wonderful, caring and attentive mama, as most cats are. She was very protective and sometimes lashed out when humans approached. Now her little ones have all left the nest and have been adopted.

Margo is happy to be finished with motherhood and has blossomed into a darling little cat. She loves to rub on people as they walk by -- just to make sure that her presence is known!

The volunteer staff at MEOW all love her moustache, which looks to be in the shape of an upside-down heart. Margo is currently residing in one of the free-roaming rooms at MEOW and gets along very well with the other cats.

We don't think she has ever come into contact with a dog. She's spayed, micro-chipped, current on vaccines, de-wormings and has been tested for FeLV and FIV -- healthy and ready for a new family. If you are interested, see www.meowcatrescue.org or call 425-822-6369.
