Pet of the Week: Huggable Tortoiseshell Coco Looking for a New Home

This charmer will love you back.

Coco is a gorgeous 11-year-old domestic shorthair tortoiseshell. She was returned to through no fault of her own.

Coco's owners' daughter became allergic and this sweet girl has once again found herself in search of a loving home. Coco's previous owner gave glowing reviews of her personality and demeanor. She is vocal, outgoing, very affectionate and loves to be groomed. She gets along famously with the other cats in one of MEOW's free-roaming rooms.

She doesn't waste any time greeting visitors and will try her best to get you to play with her! One of her endearing traits is the way she extends a paw to you as you hold her--hugging your neck or kneading your shoulder. She's such a charmer! Tortoiseshell cats are named for their distinctive coloring--a combination of patches of black, brown, amber, red, cinnamon and chocolate. Coco has a beautiful brindled coat and she is bunny soft!

Tortoiseshell cats have a reputation for unique personalities, sometimes referred to as "tortitude." They tend to be talkative, can be strong-willed and possessive of their human(s).

Like all MEOW cats and kittens, Coco has been altered, microchipped, is current on vaccines and dewormings, has been tested for FeLV and FIV. Please stop in and see her!
